Police Seek Witnesses to Fatal Car Crash in Kharkiv That Killed 18-Year-Old
Police are searching for eyewitnesses to a fatal traffic accident in Kharkiv that resulted in the death of an 18-year-old young man.
The crash occurred on the evening of May 20 in the Nemyshlyanskyi district. The driver of an Audi struck two pedestrians on Heroiv Kharkova Avenue, according to the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Kharkiv region.
“The 18-year-old young man sustained fatal injuries. A 17-year-old girl was hospitalized with various injuries,” law enforcement officials stated.
The accident is being investigated under Part 2 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (violation of traffic safety rules by drivers causing death or severe injury).
Eyewitnesses or anyone with information about the crash are urgently asked to contact Vitaliy Nazarenko, Senior Investigator of the Transport Crimes Investigation Department of the Kharkiv Region Police, at the following numbers: (050) 307 98 96 or (057) 730 89 76.
Police previously noted that, according to preliminary data, the young man and the girl were crossing the road outside of a designated pedestrian crossing.

ДТП розслідують за ч. 2 ст. 286 Кримінального кодексу України (порушення правил дорожнього руху водіями).
